Inspection

Green Bay 2nd Shift Machine Operator Indefinite 17109

The Machine Operator is responsible for producing a quality product to the customer’s specifications efficiently. The Machine Operator will also work on continuous improvements with regard to workmanship standards, standard operating procedures, and safety suggestions.
Essential Functions:
• Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets for one or more machine styles
o Perform minor machine adjustments
o Perform minor equipment repair
o Pack finished product
• Maintain established Quality standards
o Inspect and examine bags/pouches for defects and non-conformances
o Measure product to customer specifications
o Proper packing quantities are fulfilled
o Work with Quality team for non-conformances
• Troubleshoot a process or machine concern and communicate resolutions
• Accurately document and complete necessary forms
• Work with multiple teams/departments
• Maintain a clean work area
• Perform other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as needed
• Compliance with all company Quality Systems, Operational and Human Resource policies, procedures, and practices, including safety, food safety and housekeeping procedures
Minimum Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Three (3) years of working experience in a manufacturing setting required
Position Requirements:
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos required
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and through written materials required
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in common units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals required
• Ability to read and interpret a tape measure required
Physical Factors/Work Environment:
• Employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear
• Employee is required to sit, bend, stoop, twist, use hands and fingers, handle and feel objects and tools and balance
• Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Employee is required to use close vision and distance vision with the ability to focus
• Employee is regularly in a manufacturing setting with varying degrees of background noise
